This colorful cotton bud activity enhances fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Ideal for small kids, it’s enjoyable to match the cotton buds to their correct colors.
How to create a hedgehog cotton bud activity:
Materials needed:
- Recycled toilet paper roll
- Recycled cardboard
- Cotton buds
- Tiny pom-pom (orange)
- Colored paint (orange, yellow and green)
- Googly eyes
- Screwdriver (to punch the holes)
- Scissors
- Glue gun and stick
Instructions:
- Punch holes in the top part of the toilet paper roll.
- Color the holes alternately with orange, green and yellow.
- Create a two cone shapes from brown kraft paper.
- Cut strips on the top parts of the cones.
- Insert and glue the first cone in the second cone leaving the strips out.
- Cut ears from the same kraft paper and glue them onto the top of the cone.
- Glue the orange pom-pom to the tip of the cone..
- Attach googly eyes to the face (cone part).
- Cut the cotton buds in half and color them with orange, green, and yellow paint.
How to play:
- Match the cotton buds to the proper holes.
