Looking for a fun experiment this summer? Try this easy ice cream fizz activity!
An ice cream-themed activity is the perfect way to keep kids engaged this summer! Make it extra fun by adding a colorful fizz experiment.
I created ice cream shapes using recycled cardboard and added different colors of baking soda paste. Once the kids poured vinegar on them using plastic condiment bottles, the “ice creams” started to fizz and bubble, looking like they were melting—it was such an exciting sight!
My kids had so much fun squeezing the bottles and watching the colorful reactions. They loved seeing the bubbles form and the colors mix as the fizzy “melting” effect happened right before their eyes.
This hands-on activity combines creativity, sensory play, and a bit of science. Give it a try and watch the magic happen!
